Our Story

Project Forgive started as a little video by Dr. Shawne Duperon, a Six-Time EMMY® winner and a 2016 Nobel Peace Prize nominee, to initiate a conversation on forgiveness. No politics, no religion, just an authentic inquiry of what forgiveness means to people across the globe.

The video’s compelling story from a man who lost his wife and children to a drunk driver, struck a chord and went viral, having been seen by tens of thousands across the globe. Funds have been raised to produce and release a documentary, slated to air in 2018 on PBS and Facebook, and as a free download on our website.

Today, Project Forgive is officially endorsed by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and reaches millions each month in social media and tens of thousands on our Facebook Live broadcasts.

This unprecedented response was the catalyst for the Project Forgive Foundation, a 501c3 non-religious and non-partisan organization with initiatives that provide online digital educational resources, as well as new media curriculum and training for kids at risk and veteran-owned businesses.
